Throttling devices include standard orifice plates, standard nozzles, long-radius nozzles, classical Venturi tubes, Venturi nozzles, annular orifice plates, quarter-circle nozzles (quarter-circle orifice plates), conical entrance orifice plates, segmental orifice plates, eccentric orifice plates, double orifice plates, low-pressure-loss flow tubes, rectangular Venturi tubes, V-cone flowmeters, wedge flowmeters, built-in orifice plates, restriction orifice plates, etc. When the Reynolds number of the fluid is low or it contains impurities, non-standard throttling devices can be selected.
