1. Product Overview
Cable tray is a rigid structural system composed of trays, ladder sections, or covers, used to support and route cables. It is widely applied in power, petrochemical, data center, and building electrical engineering.

2. Main Types

  • Ladder-type tray: Good ventilation and heat dissipation, suitable for heavy-duty power cables over long spans.

  • Perforated tray: Bottom with or without holes, offering better protection than ladder type.

  • Solid-bottom tray: Fully enclosed, dustproof and corrosion-resistant, ideal for control cables or weak-current systems.

3. Selection Key Points

  1. Calculate load based on total cable cross-sectional area not exceeding 40% of the tray's internal cross-sectional area.

  2. Choose material according to environment: hot-dip galvanized, electro-galvanized, powder-coated, or stainless steel.

  3. For spans over 6 meters, add stiffeners or use larger-section profiles.

4. Installation Precautions

  • Horizontal installation: support spacing ≤ 2m; vertical installation: spacing ≤ 3m.

  • The tray system must be reliably grounded, with at least two connection points to the grounding busbar along the entire length.

  • Bending radius at turns shall not be less than 10 times the minimum bending radius of the cables.
